35 Years of Changing Lives
In 2018, Ohio MENTOR celebrated its 35th anniversary of providing compassionate, family-centered support to children at risk and their families.
History & Vision
Ohio MENTOR is a part of Sevita (previously The MENTOR Network), a national health and human services organization. We have been providing therapeutic foster care to the state of Ohio since 1983.
Our organization consists of dedicated people who open up their hearts and homes, to provide safe caring environments for the children and youth we serve. Our employees are respectful and professional with clinical staff that have received professional certifications from well established universities, including:
- LSW (Licensed Social Worker)
- LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker)
- PCC (Professional Clinical Counselor)
- Master’s Degree
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- Psychologist
Since opening our doors, we have made many strides to offer communities of Ohio more diverse services. In 2003, Ohio MENTOR earned its certification to provide a variety of mental health services, including group therapy, individual community support, individual counseling and psychiatric counseling.
Expanding the Vision
Ohio MENTOR is always looking for good homes that consist of caring and dedicated families willing to open its doors to a child or youth that is in need of family support. You can become a foster parent by completing the homestudy process with the assistance of our professional staff. Together, you and the staff of Ohio MENTOR can help children grow through positive guidance in a family environment with the support of a professional team.
