Behavioral Health Services
It’s hard to be successful when you’re standing on shaky ground. That’s why we provide behavioral health services to children and families throughout the state. Our behavioral health services are designed to help each person receive the treatment they need to lead healthy, stable lives.
Ohio MENTOR’s therapists and support staff help children and family members deal with behavioral health challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Whether dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders or a wide range of other behavioral health challenges, we focus on helping each person understand their illness and develop coping skills that can help them succeed.
Our behavioral health services and supports include:
- Community psychiatric support treatment (CPST)
- Individual counseling
- Group counseling
- Psychiatric evaluation and services
Our outpatient therapy staff consult with case managers, care coordinators, direct service professionals, physicians and foster parents to continually assess each child and create a comprehensive service plan that best meets their needs. Our Behavioral Health services can be used as a service on its own or as a part of our Intensive In-Home service or Therapeutic Foster Care.
Behavior Management
Challenging behaviors can often interfere with successful illness management and recovery. That’s why behavior management is an integral part of our behavioral health services. Our goal is to help individuals assess and modify behaviors that can have a negative effect on their overall mental health. Using innovative methods,our expert staff:
- conduct comprehensive assessments
- develop behavior modification strategies
- and help individuals work towards positive change
Adult Services
Ohio MENTOR is accepting new referrals for Behavioral Health counseling. Our caring and qualified licensed clinicians have availability to provide quality, culturally responsive services to adults struggling with mental and emotional concerns. Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to live a full, independent life. Visits can be scheduled either in person or via telehealth, according to the individual’s preference.

- Skill development
- Access and referral to community resources
- Symptom management
- Assessments
